XML Validator and XML Schema Validator free online tools are now available on the Liquid XML Editor web site.

Simply copy and paste your XML data into the Validators and click the Validate button to test the data against the W3C standards.

The XML Validator will check you XML document is well-formed, but it will also allow you to add a list of URLs to your XML Schema in order to ensure your XML document valid against the rules they define.

These are online now and are 100% free to use!

Coming Soon Liquid XML 2011 Service Pack 1

Liquid XML 2011 Service Pack 1 is now is system test and includes enhanced XML Editor, WSDL Editor and XML Data Binding features along with performance, stability and useability enhancements.

The release is scheduled for the end of April and is free to all 2011 license holders and all users with a current Update Support Protection Plan (USPP).

Liquid Fast Infoset .Net is a C# class library that allows you to add XML Compression support to your .Net project. Fast Infoset is a ITU-T (X.891) and ISO (IEC 24824-1) standard for producing small binary XML documents that are fast to parse.

This decision has been taken to allow Open Source community to benefit and contribute to this XML industry standard.

How can I get an XML Schema (XSD) from SQL Server?

This question has come up a few times, so here is the answer...

Example: To retrieve the XSD for the 'Order' table you can run:
Select * from [order] where ID < 0 FOR XML AUTO, XMLSCHEMA

This will just return the XSD (as the where clause will not return any order records).

Liquid XML Studio 2010 XML Data Binding now supports XML Nillable (and xs:nil) in all languages (C++, C#, VB.Net, Java and Visual Basic 6).

This is good news for those of you using our XML Code Generator with an XML standard that uses the Nillable attribute in its XML Schema.

This has been an outstanding request for some time and we are now happy to say we support this feature in Liquid XML studio 2010.

Following hot on the heels of the Microsoft Visual Studio 2010® launch, Liquid XML Studio 2010 offers full support for its plug-ins in Visual Studio 2010®. The Graphical XSD Editor, XPath viewer and Web Services Test Client plug-ins take you way beyond what Visual Studio offers XML developers out of the box.

Liquid Technologies announced today that is has become a VSIP (Visual Studio Industry Partner) Technology Partner.

Membership of this programme gives Liquid Technologies developers access to the Visual Studio source code as well as early access to upcoming Microsoft development and product technologies.

Liquid XML Studio 2010 launched

Liquid XML Studio 2010 is building on the success of the 2009 release by introducing a new entry level Starter Edition and adding new features or enhancements to the existing product line.

As well as many enhancements to the look and feel, major improvements have been made to the docking facilities of the windows, with improved multi monitor support making the IDE much easier to use.

All the Editors now support design, split and source code views which syncronise in real-time.

The new WSDL Graphical Editor greatly simplifies the task of designing complex WSDL.

As well as adding 64 bit support for Windows and Visual C++, the Developer Edition provides support for Windows CE devices (Mobile Phones and PDA’s) and is now included with code generation for C# and Visual Basic .NET for the .NET Compact Framework.
